VANSUYT Law Firm always tries to communicate as transparent as possible on the calculation of its costs and fees.

At the start of a case we make an agreement on the applicable costs and fees. The fees are a compensation for the intellectual services and time spent by the attorney on a case. The fees are fixed taking into account the complexity of the case, the urgency of the intervention, the expertise of the attorney and the importance of the amounts involved in the case.

For the recovery of invoices, we always try to recover our costs and fees on the other party (excl. VAT). However, if the other party is declared bankrupt or is completely insolvent, the fees are calculated according to the standard fee per hour. We inform our clients if our costs and fees are eligible to be charged to clients’ insurance company.
